Though she may act every bit like an Ishgardian noblewoman, the truth is that Anais is certainly not a noble. Or rather, her father was, but she was raised in the Brume, living a life cast out because of her mother's heritage as a Duskwight Elezen. Well, that, and her father was cheating on his wife, but the important part is that Anais is not nobility and never has been.That only served to light a fire in her to not just embrace that part of her heritage but to surpass it. She is fiercely competitive and has a huge chip on her shoulder about her lineage ― and what better way than to prove she doesn't need noble connections?As a thaumaturge, Anais has a deep fascination with all things magical and dangerous, and her curiosity borders on fanatical. She thirsts for power and control, as she had so little of it growing up in the Brume, that even truly dangerous things only serve to make her want to study them further. With an interest in Black and White Magic, and the Void in particular, Anais is trouble waiting to happen if someone doesn't rein her in.

― Demeanor. It would be easy to mistake Anais for a noblewoman given how she dresses and carries herself. This is intentional, as it is an act she puts on.

  • what i'm looking for.  I have a preference for focusing on adventures or simple (pve) combat rather than slice of life. Starting conversations and get-to-know-yous are expected, of course, but I like having more of a focus on plot and/or character development!
